A novice machinist spent several years working on this shay engine but was not able to finish it. The engine frame is 31 1/4 inches long and 6 1/2 inches wide. There was a lot of work invested but a lot more work would be needed to finish this to a working project. The work was a little crude but was done according to the book. Sorta. Even unfinished it is kinda impressive. It is heavy so would be a little expensive to ship.
